Coaching and conflict mediation

Coaching facilitates the resolution of current or future issues, and supports the effective and independent achievement of goals.

When is coaching required?

  • When dealing with a new, highly demanding task or role
  • When tackling questions in relation to professional development, personal goals and possible new career paths, or integration into a new working environment (e.g. expatriates)
  • To develop specific skills for a new role/function
  • As support, when changes in behaviour are required, or in conflict situations
  • In team building processes, team development, or when dealing with conflicts within or between teams

Team coaching

Conflicts frequently occur in teams. Causes may include unclear or unaccepted hierarchical structures, poor communication, or differing interests and objectives.

Where views in a conflict situation have become entrenched, or as a preventative measure where there is a risk of such a stand-off, or for example during a merger or the forming of a new team, it can make sense to involve an external specialist.

Mediation

The goal of mediation is to resolve a conflict between parties in such a way that at the end of the process a win-win situation is achieved. The mediator accompanies and supports the process and assumes a neutral, non-judgmental role.
